Description:   A city on the boundary between Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, about 10 km east south east of Canberra at the junction of Queanbeyan River and Molonglo River.
Meaning:   Name taken from the river and said to mean 'clearwater' (not verified) (Appleton; 1992). Also: clear water. (McCarthy. 1963).
