Description:   A watercourse about 5 km draining from Lake Victoria about 2 km N of Lake Victoria State Forest, it flows W then SW by S to flow into the Murray River, about 8 km E of Devils Elbow.
Origin:   Said to have been named by the explorer Sturt after one of his party, Macleay, who had red hair.
