Origin:   The name in honour of Pilot Officer Rawdon H Middleton - WW2 - RAF born Waverley NSW. He served in the 149 Squadron in 1942 and died in combat on 28.11.1942. He earned the Victoria Cross for his efforts.
History:   Pilot Rawdon H Middleton - WW2 -RAF saved his crew by having them parachute from the plane onto English ground then ditched his plane into the ocean to avoid his crew being captured by the enemy.
