Proposal to name a creek

GEOGRAPHICAL NAMES ACT 1966

PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 8 of the Geographical Names Act, 1966, the Geographical Names Board hereby notifies that it proposes to assign the name:

Francis Greenway Creek a watercourse about 4km long. It rises on Woodberry Swamp, approximately 1 km N of the suburb of Woodberry and flows generally E by S into the Hunter River.

The position and extent for this feature is recorded and shown within the Geographical Names Register of New South Wales. This information can be accessed through the Board's Website at www.gnb.nsw.gov.au

Any person wishing to make comment upon this proposal may within one (1) month of the date of this notice contact the Secretary of the Board with that comment. Submissions made in accordance with Section 9 of the Geographical Names Act 1966 maybe subject to a Freedom of Information application. GNB5402.
