Naming Proposal

Proposed creek names in the Gosford LGA

GEOGRAPHICAL NAMES ACT 1966

PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 8 of the Geographical Names Act, 1966, the Geographical Names Board hereby notifies that it proposes to assign the names:

Apple Tree Gully A gully approx. 500 metres long. It rises approx. 200 metres west of Bathtub Gully and flows in a WNW direction to its junction with Bedlam Creek.

Platypus Creek A creek rising near Mangrove Trig. Station. It flows in an ENE direction for approx. 4.5 kms and empties into Ourimbah Creek.

Moppity Creek A creek which rises approx. 500 metres SSE of the intersection of Bushells Road and Peats Ridge Road. It flows in a SSE direction for approx. 1km to its junction with Willbrook Creek.

Willbrook Creek A creek rising about 100 metres south of Euloo Road and flowing in a SSE direction for approx. 2kms to its junction with Mooney Mooney Creek.







The position and extents for these features are recorded and shown within the Geographical Names Register of New South Wales.

Any person wishing to make comment upon this proposal may, prior to 23 November, 2009 write to the Secretary of the Board with that comment. Submissions made in accordance with Section 9 of the Geographical Names Act 1966 may be subject to a Freedom of Information application GNB 5379.
