Description:   A bay extending westerly from a line between the rock baths at Jibbon Street Cronulla ESE to Port Hacking Point including all bays except those in South West Arm between Grahams Point and Costens Point; Hacking River between Grays Point and Danger Point; North West Arm from Mansion Point NNE to the suburb of Gymea Bay near Coopernook Av.; and South of the footbridge across Cabbage Tree Basin in the suburb of Maianbar.
Origin:   Bass and Flinders first entered this bay, on 30 March 1796. Flinders said the natives called the area"Deeban" (A voyage to Terra Australis - Matthew Flinders R.N.1814 Vol 1 page XCVII)
