Description:   A watercourse about 1,500 km long (Australian Encyclopedia). It rises at its junction with Hannans Creek and Mutmutbilly Creek about 25 km W of the City of Goulburn. It flows generally NW by N,W,SW passing through the towns of Cowra,Forbes,Condobolin into the Murrumbidgee River at Great Cumbungi Swamp.

History:   Wiradhuri and Ngiyambaa Aborigines knew it as 'Galiyarr'. (Appleton; 1992).
