Description:   A coastal suburb which includes Shell Harbour harbour and Bass Point. It adjoins the suburbs of Dunmore on the south, Flinders on the west and Barrack Point on the north. History:   Early records shows that Shell Harbour was formally known as 'Yerrowah'. Also the harbour of Peterborough was soon after called Shell Harbour because of the great quantity of shells.
