Description:   A partly perennial stream rising in Australian Capital Territory about 2 km south of Oak Hill. It flows generally SW for about 10 km into Lake Ginninderra then flowing generally west for about 15 kilometres crossing the state boundary about 8 kilometres WSW of Hall, to its confluence with the Murrumbidgee River about 5.5 kilometres ENE of Pig Hill.
Meaning:   Unknown. Research by the Dept. of the Interior (in connection with Lake Ginninderra in Canberra) and Peter Orlovich.
Origin:   Unknown
History:   Variant spellings date from 1831.George T. Palmer, in his application of 21-Sep-1832 wrote At G.Palmer's Station at the head of Ginninderra Creek in the vicinity of Limestone Plains......
