Description:   A watercourse about 106 km long. It rises between Bimberi and Gurrangorambla Ranges about 1 km N of Mount Morgan and flows generally NW then N into Lake Burrinjuck.
Meaning:   According to page 1 of the Queanbeyan-Canberra Advocate dated 8 January 1925 `the late Mr W Davis Wright,...(inter alia),` provided the meaning `water running over rocks`. Wright's father had settled on the Murrumbidgee River in 1835. (Yass Hist Soc, 11 Sept 1998)
