Description:   A watercourse about 16km long. It starts about 4km E of Armidale where Dumaresq Creek joins Tilbuster Ponds to form Commissioners Waters and flows generally SE by S into Gara River.
Origin:   This watercourse was named after Commissioner McDonald, the first Crown Lands Commissioner in Armidale, who came to Armidale in 1839.
