Naming proposal

City & South East Light Rail

GEOGRAPHICAL NAMES ACT 1966

PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 8 of the Geographical Names Act 1966, the Geographical Names Board hereby notifies that it proposes to assign the following light rail stop names:

Circular Quay Light Rail Stop, located on Alfred Street opposite Circular Quay Railway Station

Bridge Street Light Rail Stop, located on George Street between Bridge Street and Jamison Street

Wynyard Light Rail Stop, located on George Street opposite Wynyard Station between Hunter Street and King Street

QVB Light Rail Stop, located on George Street opposite the Queen Victoria Building between Market Street and Park Street

Town Hall Light Rail Stop, located on George Street near Town Hall Railway Station between Park Street and Bathurst Street

Chinatown Light Rail Stop, located on George Street near the intersection with Campbell Street

Haymarket Light Rail Stop, located at Rawson Place which runs between George Street and Pitt Street

Central Chalmers Street Light Rail Stop, located on Chalmers Street adjacent to Central Station

Surry Hills Light Rail Stop, located on Devonshire Street near the intersection with Marlborough Street

Moore Park Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade near the intersection with Lang Road

Royal Randwick Light Rail Stop, located on Alison Road near the intersection with Darley Road

Wansey Road Light Rail Stop, located on Alison Road at the intersection with Wansey Road and Prince Street

UNSW High Street Light Rail Stop, located on High Street opposite the upper campus of UNSW

Randwick Junction Light Rail Stop, located on High Street near the intersection with Avoca Street

ES Marks Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade near the intersection with Carlton Street

Kensington Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade near the intersection with Todman Avenue

UNSW Anzac Parade Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade near the lower campus of UNSW

Kingsford Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade between Meeks Street and Middle Street

Nine Ways Light Rail Stop, located on Anzac Parade south of Rainbow Street near the Nine Ways roundabout

The position and extent for these features is recorded and shown within the Geographical Names Register of New South Wales.

Any person wishing to make comment upon this proposal may within one (1) month of the date of this notice contact the Secretary of the Board with that comment.

In accordance with Section 9 of the Geographical Names Act 1966, all submissions lodged may be subject to a Government Information (Public Access) application and may be viewed by a third party to assist the Board in considering this proposal.
