| Description: | A hill rising 183 metres from Kingdon Ponds. Located about 3km SW by S of Stony Knob and about 9km WSW of Koogah (trig station). |
| Origin: | A coal seam is burning beneath this hill giving rise to smoke from san dstone rocks on the surface. It is the common name for Mount Wingen, the Aboriginal name of which means fire. |
| History: | The mountain was discovered in 1828 (and again by T. L. Mitchell in 1831). (Reed, 1969). |
